طرح السؤال في اللغة الانجليزية

في اللغة الإنجليزية، هناك نوعان رئيسيان من الجمل: جملة البيان (Statement) وجملة السؤال (Question). جملة البيان تُستخدم لإخبارك بشيء ما، في حين أن جملة السؤال تُستخدم لطرح سؤال عن شيء ما. وعادةً، ينتهي السؤال بعلامة استفهام "؟".

قاعدة Inversion

عند صياغة سؤال، نقوم بتغيير ترتيب الكلمات بوضع الفعل قبل الفاعل.

• ?Am I late — هل أنا متأخر؟
• ?Is she sleeping — هل هي نائمة؟

أدوات الاستفهام

• نضع أداة الاستفهام (مثل: why, what, how...) أولاً،
• ثم الفعل Verb
• ثم الفاعل Subject
• ?Why are you late — لماذا أنت متأخر؟
• ?When was she there — متى كانت هناك؟

استخدام do / does / did

نستخدمها مع الأفعال العادية حسب الزمن:

في المضارع:

• Do you work at home? — هل تعمل في المنزل؟
• Where do you work? — أين تعمل؟
• Does it cost £10? — هل يكلف 10 جنيهات؟
• How much does it cost? — كم يكلف؟

في الماضي:

• Did she go home? — هل ذهبت إلى المنزل؟
• Where did she go? — إلى أين ذهبت؟

عند استخدام "who" كفاعل:

• Who broke the window? — من كسر النافذة؟
• Who is knocking on the door? — من يطرق الباب؟
